Commissioner Massiah made history as the first black female to serve as the DeKalb County District 3 Commissioner.  She was elected in December 2024 and recognizes the honor that the people of District 3 have bestowed upon her as their Commissioner.  During her first 30 days as Commissioner, she was selected by her colleagues to become the Deputy President Officer for the Board of Commissioners and appointed to serve as the Committee Chair of Planning, Economic Development & Community Services (PECS). 

Commissioner Massiah is also an attorney and real estate broker deeply committed to serving the vibrant community of DeKalb County. With a rich background in legal matters and real estate, she brings zealous advocacy, effective negotiation skills, and selflessness to champion the rights and interests of others. As the principal attorney at Massiah Law & Associates and the qualifying broker at Massiah Real Estate Group, she has successfully represented clients with challenging legal matters and helped clients achieve their real estate housing needs.
